Scope:
This course was designed in compliance with regulation VI/1 section A-VI/1, and table A- VI/1-1 of the International Convention on standards of training, certification and Watchkeeping for sea STCW/78, as amended.
General objectives:

Apply the proper procedure during evacuation, or abandon ship, or rescue a person who fell into the sea.

Apply appropriate measures to the own survival and that of others in the event of abandonment of the ship.

Correct use of survival equipment.
Prerequisites:
This course is primarily designed to provide basic training to seafarers employed or engaged to perform any task on board a ship, who has been assigned security features related to the usage of the ship. No specific educational requirement is required. All students must obtain a medical certificate attesting that she or he is in good health.
Entry Standards
For the admission to the course, seafarers must be certified by a doctor to be in a good health.
